LET'S BE MINDFUL AS LEADERS

The chief should have concentrated on calling for the sanction of the the immigration officer who was reported to have brutalized the student.

Secondly, he should advise his subjects as good citizens to obey the laws of the land. If the border is closed I wasn't expecting the student to attempt crossing the closed border with the simple reason that she was going to school.

Thirdly, if the traditional leader thinks any of his subject need any special dispensation, he should appropriately seek an exemption from the state with his cogent reasons. But for him to reportedly say his territory extends into Togo and Benin and therefore could not disown his very sons and daughters resident in Togo and at the same time calling on the government to construct a visible border wall on the Ghana and Togo boundary is most unfortunate.
After all, Aflao is not the only border town in Ghana. If he has peculiar issues with the presence of the military there it is most inappropriate to use this forum to address his concern. It is not surprising that he is receiving a lot of backlash from other Ghanaians.
