Accra, Nov. 10, GNA - All is set for the First Audi Invitational Golf Championship scheduled for the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, November 15.
About 100 golfers have been invited to participate in the competition which would be sponsored by Stallion Motors Ghana Limited. Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club, told GNA Sports in Accra on Monday, that the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition would be played in accordance with the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Club. He announced that Handicap 18 holders qualify for the event, but those with Handicap 24 may be considered to play to Handicap 18. The Ladies section, Mr Oteng-Aboagye said holders of Handicap 24 players qualify to compete but those with Handicap 27 may play to Handicap 24.
Notable golfers expected to be seen on the plush golf course include Mike Ezan, President of the Achimota Golf Club, Robert Evans, Matthias Dorfe, Paul List, Daniel List, Charles Tabi, Michael Aggrey and Geoff Fisher, all members of the Club. Officials of Stallion Motors are expected to grace the occasion. 10 Nov. 08
