100 to vie for Celebrity Medal Golf trophy

Tema, Dec. 17, GNA - The December Open Medal Championship of the Celebrity Golf Club tees off at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, December 22.

Mr Joe Ohemeng, Captain of the Club who announced this at Tema on Monday, said about 100 amateur golfers are expected to participate in the competition.

He said the one-day event, which is expected to be keenly contested would see an array of crack golfers including the likes of Joe Ampofo, Akwasi Opoku, Oswald Amuzu and Abdul-Aziz Amankwah. Mr Kobina Quansah, President of the Celebrity Golf Club would be the Guest of Honour.

Meanwhile the Achimota Golf Club Seniors Open Championship also comes off at Achimota on Saturday, December 22. The one-day event is open to senior golfers aged 55 years and above.
