All is set for the Second Annual American Power Conversion (APC) Invitational Golf Championship scheduled for the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, August 2. A spokesman for the club, who announced this in Accra on Monday, said the competition, which is open to executives of corporate bodies and institutions, is being sponsored by Oman Fofor Trading Company. He said so far 100 golfers have registered for the event and the number is expected to go up by the close of registration on Thursday, July 31.
Joe Ohemeng of Deloitte and Touche who came second in the last year's competition have declared that he would win the event this time. "We have sharpened up our strokes very well for the competition," they claimed. Top government officials and management of Oman Fofor are expected to grace the occasion.
