Achimota Seniors Golf comes on Sunday

Accra, March 29, GNA--The Second Achimota Golf Club Seniors Championship tees off at the Achimota course on Sunday, April Four. Mr Michael Ezan, Chairman of the club's Seniors Group who announced this in Accra on Monday said the one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition is open to the senior members of the club aged 55 years and above and is being sponsored by Ghana Union Assurance Company Limited. He said the event, instituted by the club some few years ago continue to generate interest among members after every competition.
Sydney Quartey, John Sam, Samuel Adetola, Victor Dzanku, Nana Wereko Ampem, the Second, Nana Adjei Duku and Professor Michael Ben-George are some of the golfers who had already registered for the event. Mr Ezan appealed to about the 100 golfers expected to participate in the competition to be punctual to ensure its successful take-off. The competitors would use the event as a prelude to assess their battle readiness for the Ghana Amateur Open championship scheduled for April 10- 12 at the Celebrity Golf course at Sakumono, near Tema.
