Ankrah wins CAL Merchant Bank golf

Accra, Nov. 16, GNA - Wakiki E. Ankrah returned 69 net to win this year's CAL Merchant Bank Golf championship played at the Achimota Golf course in Accra on Saturday.

Aaron Akafo came second with 70 net, beating Nana Agyei Duku on Countback, while Dave Martin took the fourth position with 72 net.

Florence Etwi-Barimah won the Ladies event with 69 net, Victoria Apomasu took the second position with 70 net, beating Clara Price on Countback, while Suzie Kumassah placed fourth with 71 net,

The one-day 18-hole stableford competition open to amateur golfers from Achimota, Tema, Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs attracted more than 120 participants.

Mr Frank Adu Junior, Managing Director of CAL Merchant Bank said it is the policy of the bank to support the community in which it operates and gave the assurance that the bank would continue to support the club in the ensuing years.

He was assisted by Mr Samuel Adetola,Captain of the Achimota golf Club, to present the prizes to the winners.
