Tema, Nov. 11, GNA - The November Medal Open Golf championship of the Celebrity Golf Club, tees off at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday, November 16. Mr Ato Endmann, General Manager of the Celebrity Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Tuesday, said the about 120 golfers are expected to participate in the competition. He said the event, which is mainly a club affair has been designed to extend invitation to all the Golf Clubs in the country to participate in the event.

Mr Ato Endmann, General Manager of the Celebrity Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Tuesday, said the about 120 golfers are expected to participate in the competition. He said the event, which is mainly a club affair has been designed to extend invitation to all the Golf Clubs in the country to participate in the event. The General Manager said the Club was making everything possible to ensure that the golf course was put in shape and made playable by turning all the brown courses into greens. Joe Ohemeng, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club would lead his side's team which would include Akwasi Opoku, the Competition Secretary, Joe Ampofo, Abdul Aziz-Amankwaah and Alex Acheampong. The Ladies segment would also witness stiff opposition from Amaa Morgan, Clara Price, Francisca Vandyck, Esi Cobbina and Mary Morgan, all of the Achimota Golf Club.
