Accra, Nov. 8, GNA-- This year's Ghana Commearcial Bank Limited Golf Championshiop tee off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, November 19. Mr Kwame Saarah-Mensah, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Tuesday said more than 120 amateur golfers drawn from Achimota, Tema Celebrity and Bok Nam Kim golf clubs are expected to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Stableford competition. He said the entry requirement for the competition, which shall be played under the rules of the St. Andrew Golf Club of Scotland, the World's Golf governing body and the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club, is Handicap 18 and below for the Men while that of the Ladies is pegged at Handicap 24.

Lee Mensah, Yaw Assah-Sam and John Sam all of Achimota Golf Club, who failed to glitter in the last year's competition, had declared their intention of winning the trophy this year. The Ladies section would see Mona Captan of Achimota, Grace Afriyie, the newly-crowned Ladies Open Champion and Florence Etwi-Barimah, both of Tema battling each other for supremacy.
