Accra, Oct. 29, GNA - Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) on Sunday, presented a cheque for 2,000 Ghana cedis (20 million cedis) to the Achimota Golf Club in Accra. Mr Lawrence Newtonn Adu-Mante, Managing Director of the Bank who made the presentation, said it was the policy of the Bank to support the communities in which it operates. He said the Bank has introduced a product which is called Royal Banking concept which is designed to offer tailored banking services to meet the needs of customers and the emerging challenges of the global banking environment.
Mr Adu-Mante said GCB has also acquired principal status of Master Card from Master Card International to help customers to access their accounts in any part of the world.
He therefore urged members of the Club to help train more young golfers to take over from them after they have retired or at old age. Mr Mike Ezan, President of the Club thanked the Bank for their kind gesture and appealed to other corporate bodies to help them develop the sport in the country.
