Tema, Aug. 18, GNA - The Second Annual Heritage Classic Seniors Invitational Golf Championship tees off at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono near Tema on Saturday, August 22 Mr Pierre Coussey, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Tuesday, said about 120 senior golfers have been invited to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition. He said the competition, which was in memory of the late Mr Justice Charles Edward Hanley Coussey, former Supreme Court Judge, was also aimed at raising funds to support the New Horizon School. Mr Coussey said the competition which would be played under the local rules of the Club, would be sponsored by Wish Bone Incorporated of the United Kingdom.

Among the array of golfers expected to participate in the competition are Akwasi Opoku, Vice Captain, Joe Ampofo, Oswald Amuzu, Ernest Kumi and Francis Quartey, all of the Celebrity Golf Club. Briggette, Harrington, Aileen Conteh and Mary Asafo-Adjaye are expected to battle each other in the Ladies segment. Five prizes would be awarded in the Men's category while three would be given in the Ladies event.
