Accra, Sept. 26, GNA - The annual J.S. Addo Seniors Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, October 7.
Mr. Kwesi Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club, who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-Hole Stable-Ford event, open to senior golfers of the club aged 55 years and above, is being sponsored by Ecobank Ghana limited.
He said about 100 golfers are expected to participate in the competition which is aim at honouring Mr. J.S. Adddo, former Governor of the Bank of Ghana and the first Board Chairman of Ecobank Ghana Limited. Some of the veteran golfers expected to be seen in action included John Sam, Michael Ezan, Dan Dennis, Air Commodore K.K. Pumpuni and Wisdom Asempa.
The Ladies section would also witness veteran golfer Mona Captan, who was crowned 'Golf Hemaa' for winning the Ghana Commercial Bank Limited Invitational at Tafo, Ama Morgan, Yaa Konadu Sarfo Debrah and Eunice Adzakpo. Officials of the bank is expected to grace the occasion.
