Accra, Sept. 22 GNA - The maiden Kenya Airways Invitational Golf Championship tees off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, September 26. Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club who disclosed this to the GNA Sports in Accra on Tuesday, said about 120 amateur golfers and clients of the company have been invited to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Stable-ford event. He said the event which would be played in accordance with the local rules of the Achimota Golf Club has Handicap 18 as the entry requirements. Mr Wilson Kafui Yaokumah, Sales and Marketing Executive of Kenya Airways said it was the policy of the company to support the community in which it operated. He said it was therefore time for the company to also honour the services of their clients through the sponsorship of the event for maintaining their commitment to the company over the years.

Among an array of golfers expected to participate in the event are Mike Aggrey, Captain, Dan Dennis, Matthias Dorfe, Wisdom Asempah, Yaw Assah-Sam, Mike Ben-George and Charles Tabi, all of the Achimota Golf Club. Margaret Hanson would lead the Ladies team which would include Mona Myles-Lamptey, Ama Morgan, Clara Price, Grace Afriyie and Margaret Ben-George.
