Stanbic Bank Invitational Golf tees off on July 26

Accra, July 15, GNA - The annual Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited Invitational Golf Championship will tee off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, July 26.

About 100 amateur golfers have been invited to participate in the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play competition. Mr Kwabena Oteng-Aboagye, General Manager of the Achimota Golf Club who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the competition which would be played under the local rules of the Ghana Golf Association and that of the Achimota Golf Club, has Handicap 18 and 24 as the entry requirements.

He said the competition which started some few years ago continues to generate more interest year after year and that the Club's management was putting the necessary arrangements to ensure a keen competition. G.K. Gouvinus, Kofi Essel-Koomson, Michael Aggrey, Daniel List and Charles Tabi are among the invited players from the Achimota Club. Mr Alhassan Andani, Managing Director of Stanbic is expected to grace the occasion.
