Tigo Tema Open Golf Championship slated Oct 10

This year’s Tigo Tema Open Golf Championship tees-off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, October 10 and ends on Sunday, October 11.

Mr Nicholas Amoah, General Manager of Tema Country Golf Club, who disclosed this at Tema, said about 200 amateur and professional golfers throughout the country are expected to participate in the two-day 36-Hole Scratch event.

He said the competition, which is being sponsored by Millicom Ghana Limited, would be played in accordance with the rules of the World Golf Governing body and the local rules of the Tema Country Golf Club.

Among an array of golfers expected to participate in the competition are Akwasi Opoku, Amoah Da Costa, S.K Afari, Theophilus Asampong and Wolf Akinroye, all of Celebrity Golf Club.

The Achimota team, which would be led by their captain, Frank Adu Junior, includes Mike Aggrey, Rene Kwame, Kofi Kusi-Boateng and Clara Price.

There will be prizes for ‘’Nearest to the Pin’’ and Closest to the pin respectively.
