After 6 weeks of highly competitive Minigolf, the Second Edition of Unilever Minigolf Schools Competition Semi-Finals is finally here!
The Second Edition Unilever Schools Competition has given birth to new minigolf young talent in both Accra and Kumasi.
Top schools G.I.S, Al-Ryan, Ridge Church School, Pat Academy, D.P.S and Galaxy International, Jack n Jill, Lycee Francais and Aggrey Memorial School played one competition on the World Standard MOS 18 hole Course while their counterparts in Kumasi involving Mother Smith International, Kubinson International, Salem Montessori, Modern International and Pentecostal International School played 9 rounds of Minigolf on the ultra-modern Minigolf Mobile Lanes.
The rising star William Tillo of GIS who played the lowest individual score of 198 has set himself apart from his peers by placing himself at the top of the table in the competition so far. William Darko, Emmanuel Mensah, the budding talent who has played a total of 7 holes-in-one making him the highest hole-in-one player as at now and the only female in the top 5 slot – Lina Fattal are also not keenly contesting the Minigolf throne with scores of 203, 206 and 208 respectively.
Congruently, the sharp shooter Emmanuel Bioh is holding the forte for Pentecostal Life International School with 94 points scored on the 9 course minigolf mobile lanes with Lordina Kankam of Modern International and Dolph Frimpong of Mother Smith International School closely tailing him with 97 points and 98 points respectively.
Over 150 students who have been well trained on various putting techniques were on full display last Saturday December 8th, 2018, in Accra & Kumasi.
Next week, the top 54 students from Accra while the top 42 players in Kumasi will go head to head at the Semi-Finals Minigolf play-off towards the finals on the 15th of December 2018.
Each student will play individually, scores will be electronically computed into the GMF Scoring database.
The aim of the competition is to help promote Minigolf amongst students as part of the Federation’s objective to demystify the sport to become a household name in society.
Winners of the Unilever Minigolf Schools Competition stand a chance of competing in next year’s Minigolf Continental Youth Championship.

The Unilever Schools Competition continues this Saturdays December 15th at Ridge Sport City Accra & Kumasi Technical University.
