You, returned 69 net to win the Second Annual American Power Conversion (APC) Invitational Golf Championship played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday. With a Handicap of 28, You played 47 in and 50 out to beat a field of 120 participants to become the new champion of the event which was opened to corporate bodies and institutions and was sponsored by Oman Fofor Trading Company.
Gyimah Kwakye took the second position with 71 net, beating Isaac Osei-Bonsu, Francis Majekodunmi and Charles Tabi on countback while William Fugah placed sixth with 70 net.
Mary Asafu-Adjaye also won the Ladies category with 69 net, Elizabeth Essel-Koomson came second with 79 net while Francisca Vandyck placed third with 81 net.
Mr Yoofi Korsah, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club said the club would do everything possible to ensure that the Course is improved to international standard.
Mr Christophe Pinnard, West Africa Regional, Manager of APC expressed the hope that his company would improve the sponsorship package next year.
