Inter Milan midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah says he is delighted to rejoin the Black Stars after many years away from the team.
The former Juventus player took to social media platform Twitter to express his delight.
He tweeted, "It’s a special feeling always, when in national team colours. Very excited to be back home for national team football".
Asamoah joined the Black Stars squad for the first time in four years on Tuesday.
Asamoah is expected to train with the team at their camp base in Addis Ababa ahead of Saturday's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.
The 29-year-old has been in self-imposed exile after recurring injuries hampered his career.
He has now regained full fitness and has put up impressive performances in their Serie A opener.
Asamoah is expected to bring his experience on board as the Black Stars seek a second consecutive win in the qualifiers.
Ghana made a bright start by thumping Ethiopia 5-0 at home.
