NDK Beat Multi in 5 Goal Thriller
NDK Financiers confirmed their recent superiority over arch rivals Multistix when they beat them 3-2 in a fast and thrilling encounter on match day 2 of the ongoing Chairman’s Challenge Championship.

Multi pushed-off and dominated proceedings for the greater part of the first half but failed to take advantage of their dominance. The forwardline wasted countless opportunities to score and even missed a penalty stroke when linkman Eddie Odametey failed to score from the spot.

NDK found their rhythm in the second half and took a series of raids on the Multi defence. Predictably, the Multi defence crumbled and NDK went 2 goals up in a spate of 2 minutes through strikers Richmond Atippoe and Daniel Dupliex. The two goal deficit shook the Team Manager Kester Ajao and the Multi bench into making a series of coordinated substitutions. The substitutions paid off as Multi took charge of the game to score in the 52nd and 56th minutes through Eric (Dada) Mainoo from field play and Rev. Ato Hagan from a penalty corner. Multi committed more men to attack and continued their dominance but again failed to score from the series of attacks they launched at the NDK defence.

In a swift counter-attack, NDK tore the depleted Multi defence apart to score their third goal through Attipoe 2 minutes from the end. Tried as Multi did, they failed to draw level thus letting NDK runaway with the narrow victory. The victory puts NDK on top of the log and in good stead to battle for honours in the grand finale to be played on March 31.
In the second match of the day, Citizens beat Veterans 2-0 through a double strike from Oxford Attipoe to set the stage for a thrilling encounter with Multi on Match day 3 to determine who plays in the finals. NDK are sure to beat Veterans on the penultimate match day of the Championship to reach the finals.
