Pope John Senior High School(POJOSS) defeated Koforidua Technical School (KOTECH) by a lone goal in the opening match of the ongoing Koforidua Zone Inter-Schools games festival at the Koforidua Sports Stadium.
Oyoko Methodist School also won 3-0 on penalties against New Juaben Senior High School(NJUASCO) in the second match in the men’s hockey.
In the men handball match, NJUASCO defeated Koforidua Secondary Technical Senior High School(SECTECH) by nine goals to six, whiles Ghana National Senior High School(GHANASS) lost by a lone goal to SECTECH in the female division.
In all eight Senior High Schools in the Koforidua Municipality are competing for laurels in football, hockey, handball, table tennis, basketball, netball, volleyball and badminton.
