Ghanaian Karatist promoted

Accra, July 21, GNA - A Ghanaian Karatist, Daniel Nana Gyamfi has been promoted to the rank of (Shihan Dai) a senior instructor and member of the United States Referees Council (USRC) after his amazing performance during the just ended USA National Karate Federation tournament.

Shihan Dai Gyamfi popularly known as Sensei Gyamfi in Ghana has also been nominated as a National Judge of the US Karate Federation. Speaking from his New Orleans base in the US, Sensei Gyamfi told the development and participation of all sporting activities.


Sensei Gyamfi said when the, "Ghanaian was when given the opportunity he can prove to the world that he is capable of achieving success.

The master of karate said officiating was a challenge that requires a lot of kills and hard work., adding that, "I am happy that I did not blow the chance offered me but concentrated on the training I had acquired and hope the youth would emulate such dedication.


Sensei Gyamfi becomes the first Ghanaian karatist to attain the affable position of national judge of the U.S Karate Federation. The national judge advised Ghanaian karatists to make God part of their lives, be disciplined and train hard so that together Ghana would be put on the international map of karate. 21 July 04
