All is going well for the three para powerlifting athletes at the ongoing WPPO World Championship in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Isaac Obeng placed first in the Men’s Up to 59kg category, while Patricia Nyamekye came third in her category in the Women’s Up to 67kg event, as Ghana targets more qualification slots for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
The Tbilisi 2024 Para-Powerlifting World Championship in Georgia is a World Para Powerlifting Organization-sanctioned event which serves as part of the qualification event for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games to be held this year in France, from 28th August to 8th September 2024.
This event is a pivotal step in the athletes' journey towards the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
