I’ll keep supporting Books and Boots – Alhaji Rahim

Businessman, Alhaji Abdul Rahim says, he will continue to support the Books and Boots Community program.

Books and Boots, an initiative by Ace Sports Journalist, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah which seeks to promote Education through reading and Football from the grass root, begun its revived edition at the Ashaiman Sakasaka park on Saturday September 1, 2018.

Alhaji, who takes care of the Sakasaka Park allowed its (the Park) usage after the organizers approached him and also offered cash support. The Community Football Competition which was witnessed by many had Mission team crowned champions after beating Diamond by a lone goal.

Speaking to the Media after the event, Alhaji Rahim says, he’ll keep supporting the program, thanking Yaw Ampofo Ankrah for coming to Ashaiman first.

“I am very happy about this project because it is educative and the Youth is our future, so if Ampofo Ankrah chooses Ashaiman to be the first place to put such a platform forward, I am grateful. I told him I will be part of the program to support him to encourage the Youth to learn and indeed I have been part. I immediately cleared the Park when he came and I also sponsored the drinks and others. As and when the request comes from him, I will do more.”

The astute contractor, who has brought a lot of developmental projects to the people of Ashaiman also says, he’ll further develop the Sakasaka Park to host such events in the future.

“And like I told them, I am going to put the field in a very nice shape, so that the next time such invent will take place here, it will happen on a very nice football field. Football wise, this field can be of used as training and other occasions. The next time you’ll come here, you’ll notice changes. The field well located and we must invest in it, so that our youth can make good use of it.”

Alhaji Abdul Rahim, at the end of the event, presented the trophy to winners Mission.

The ‘Books and Boots’ event is billed for Tema, for the next edition.
