The Director at Ghana Rugby, Rufatu Inusah, has said the participating teams in the 2024 Men and Women Ghana Rugby Club Championship Sevens came into the competitions with a mindset to not only win but to participate fully.

While providing an update on the Week One of activities, she said that many of the players expressed great excitement to be back on the field.

“It was great to see the excitement of players to be back on the field with so much enthusiasm and passion for the game of rugby.

“The competition is going to be played every weekend for 4 weeks from 10th to 31st August, 2024. A winner is then crowned based on accumulated match points over the 4 weeks. This formula is going to be for both men and women.

Rafatu Inusah also extended her appreciation to all the facilitators who have been helping the teams and their players to excel in their respective fields.

“Thanks to all the club managers, coaches, players, officiating officials, medics, volunteers and all who contributed one way or the other to make it a success,” she added.
