Pastor Richard Tenu of the Ho Jubilee Christian Centre has called on wives and children to pray regularly for their husbands and fathers, instead of lashing them for strings of inactions or actions.
He said this was because frequent accusations only make men frustrated and less effective as heads of families.
Pastor Tenu made the call in a sermon at a regular worship on Sunday, which also marked this year’s Father’s Day.
He said men were naturally responsible. He described acts of irresponsibility to satanic attacks on men.
Pastor Tenu therefore urged women and children to support and bolster efforts of their husbands and fathers, and resist the temptation to accuse them.
“The devil is envious of men as heads of families, and has declared war against men. So men need prayers from wives and children, not accusing fingers,” he stated.
There were prayers for men in general and leaders of the country.
Special prayers were also offered for the Black Stars and Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) candidates, who are begin their examinations on Monday, June 16.
