They pleaded with Moslems to continuously pray to promote unity, peace and understanding among the people to sustain national stability. Ustaz Abdul Gafur Saeed, Nkoranza Chief Imam, called on the youth to be law-abiding and respect authority in order to receive blessings from God. He emphasized the need for Ghanaians to rally solidly behind the government to facilitate accelerated national development. Osman Yeboah, Chief Imam of the Nkoranza Islamic Mission, urged Moslems to offer alms and support the marginalized in society especially widows and orphans to obtain God's blessings. He advised Moslems to remain in holiness even though the Ramadan was over and eschew all forms of behaviour that would drag Islam into public ridicule and disrepute.
