Accra, July 18, GNA - Christians have the responsibility to draw people to Jesus Christ by preaching the Gospel and through their lifestyles, the Very Reverend Dr J.M.Y. Edusa-Eyison reminded members of Ghana Police Church Men's Fellowship on Sunday.

Very Rev. Dr Edusa-Eyison, who was preaching the 21st anniversary sermon of the Fellowship, said in fishing for followers, Christians should not get into the way of the word by drawing attention to themselves, but to make the message of salvation central.

Evangelists should know that their store of knowledge was not complete because according to the Scripture "we know only in part". People should be told about the new life God has given through Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection, he said.

Very Rev. Edusa-Eyison said anyone, who claimed to have accepted Christ should experience a change from his or her former ways of doing things, and urged members of the Fellowship, who were in the habit of chasing women or allowing themselves to be chased by women, to change to please God.

He said God did not wish any sinner to perish but that all should repent and live, adding that being mortals, time was not our side and the hour of salvation was here and now.

Brother Joe Debrah, President of the Fellowship, said it would embark on a massive evangelisation campaign among members of the Police Service, and appealed to them to be ready to receive them at the charge offices and at the barracks.
