The Sunyani Area Head of the Christ Apostolic Church

International,(CACI), Apostle Samuel Gyekye, has called on Christians to

continuously strive to make peace since it is by so doing that they

shall be called sons of God.

He observed that “people have different personality traits, families, cultural and

ethnic backgrounds but as far as we live together, we should make sure peace

prevails especially as Christians”.

Apostle Gyekye said these during the Palm Sunday Service at the Sunyani

Central Assembly of the Christ Apostolic Church on the theme: “How To

Become A Peacemaker”.

Apostle Gyekye stressed that peacemakers are

those who produce, initiate or create peace through their sacrifices,

words, action and prayers.

He noted that many are those who are

peace lovers, explaining that such people like peace but are not ready

to make peace due to the risk involved.

The Area Apostle therefore

urged Christians to work hard for peace irrespective of the consequences

because peace is needed to help propagate the gospel.

Apostle

Gyekye pointed out that though peacemaking could be hard and painful,

the end result is that those who work for it shall be called sons of God

and for matter that every Christian must strive for peace.

He told

the congregation to be willing to apologise, forgive one another,

reconcile, give thanks and walk together as one for total peace.

Apostle Gyekye said Christians must always act quickly to resolve conflicts to

ensure that peace exists at all times.
