The 52nd annual session of Ghana Baptist Convention (GBC) was climaxed with a praise and worship service with the call on members to live up to their responsibilities.
The session saw the licensing of 40 ministers, the recognition of 22 ministers and ordination of 35 ministers.
The four-day session, which brought together members of the convention across the country, was on the theme: “Harvest Time Today: Safe Guarding Authentic Christian Faith and Practice.”
In a sermon, Apostle Jude Hama, Former President of the Scripture Union said Christians must live the life of Jesus Christ and what he practiced.
He said Christians are messengers of Jesus Christ and should preach his words to spread the religion.
Apostle Hama said the words of Christ and practice should be accurately written, practiced and spread by Christians.
Reverend Ernest Adu-Gyamfi, Executive President of the GBC charged the ordain ministers to prove to the world what they have been trained for.
He asked the ministers not to be ignorant in their field but to always read wide to acquired more knowledge that would be impacted on the coming generation.
“Don’t go and undermined the senior pastors in your churches but, you should respect them and be role models to the coming generations,” he said.
