Cello concert is Ghana’s ever biggest choral show - Choral writer

A Ghanaian Choral Journalist, Kwesi Alfred Adams has said there is no other choral show in Ghana at the moment that comes near or was comparable to the Takoradi based singing group annual show dubbed ‘Cello concert’.

Cello concerts is held every year in the month of August by The Sixteenth Angelic Choir, a Takoradi based singing group.

The group is the first singing group in Ghana with accompanying instruments orchestra as well as children’s Choir.

Considering the package enveloped in the Takoradi base singing group Cello show, the choral writer who is also a Chorister and a Choral critique believe no other choral show in Ghana comes near the Cello concerts.

‘I have watched other choral groups perform live on stage and as a choral writer with many choral stories in my name, I can say without any doubt that the Cello Concert is the biggest Ghana choral show hosted in Takoradi’.

If anyone thinks there is any other choral show hosted by a choral group that is comparable to the Cello show, I throw the challenge for the person to own up’.

To the choral writer who is also a mainstream Journalist with The Chronicle newspaper, considering the package enveloped in the Takoradi base singing group annual Cello concert, it stood tall at the moment as Ghana’s biggest ever choral show.

Cello concerts the Choral writer who is also a keyboardist believe was a platform where the Takoradi base singing group stretches music and singing to its elastic limit.

‘if you want to see how singing is a stretch to its elastic limit, come and watch the Cello concert. This is all I can say.'

Speaking in a telephone interview, the Choral writer who is also a Chorister with Freeman Methodist Church in Takoradi said Cello has come to stay as Takoradi choral festival and Ghana’s biggest ever choral event considering the packages enveloped in the show.

We have opera, Orchestra, children’s choir performance, Adult choir performance amongst many others and I tell you what-this is Ghana’s biggest choral show for now’.

‘Last year Cello 18 was extremely awesome and I cannot wait for this year edition’. The conference room of Akroma Plaza was fill up to the capacity following the mouthwatering performance exhibited by the organizers of the last year edition of the Cello concert.

Cello 18 Concert had the group (Sixteenth Angelic Choir) write, compose and perform the story behind the opera show on stage.

This year edition comes off on the 11th of August at Akroma Plaza and promises to be super awesome.
