Kumasi, April 22, GNA - Christians have been asked to encourage all people to have a place in their hearts to forgive wrongs and accept to live in total peace and harmony.

Apostle Appiah Aidoo, Head Pastor of the Bohyen District Church of Pentecost, said it should not be lost on anybody the significance of Christ death, which was to reconcile mankind with God so as to help them to be at peace with themselves and their neighbours.

He was delivering a Good Friday message at an Easter Convention of the Church at Kropo in Kumasi. The five-day event is being held under the theme: 93The crucified Jesus is both Lord and Christ."

Apostle Aidoo advised the congregation to stand firm in their faith and to denounce evil.

He said current events in the world were clear signs that the end was nearing and it was therefore important they prayed unceasingly and worked hard towards their own salvation. He also urged them to be wary of charlatans out there deceiving people through strange Bible teachings. Ms Gifty Osei, a woman leader of the church, urged them to distance themselves from immoral acts such as adultery, prostitution and cheating.

She said they should devote their time to the service of God and the cause of humanity.
