Accra, Jan. 1, GNA - Members of the Global Evangelical Church (GEC) in Accra entered the New Year on Saturday in a triumphant ecstatic mood filled with hope. Reverend Prince Tefe, Synod Clerk, speaking to a large crowd of regula= r and irregular congregants of the Redemption Chapel of the Church at Banana Inn in Accra, said Christians must give five-folds thanks to God. "Thank God for your faith, your finances, your friends, your family and above all for your future," he said.

He said the most significant landmark of a Christian was to accept the faith through Christ, who is the way to God. He said Christians only counted their blessings in physical terms to the neglect of the spiritual achievements.

You must thank God for your finances for many financial breakthrough despites the difficulties. He told the congregants to also thank God for their friends, who were of great benefit to them, during distressing times. "Thank God for your friends, in difficult times they came to your ai= d. Had it not been the effort of some friends some would have perished," he said. Rev Tefe said some people were not able to accept the Christian faith because of the family background they came from. "It is for this reason I call on you to thank God for the family you belong to. "Every child of God has incredible future, even in crises we know we have a resting home.

"Knowledge of the future must give you strength. What the world offer= s is temporary," he said. He said the New Year would bring success to Ghanaians and called on all Ghanaians to work hard for it. 1
