Christians asked to lead exemplary lifestyles

Juaso (Ash), Jan. 12, GNA -- The Asante-Akim Presbyterian Bible Study and Prayer Group ended its eighth annual presbytery convention at Juaso, with a call on Christians to led lives worthy of emulation to give practicable meaning to the ideals of Christianity.

The Reverend David Kofi Anokye, Asante-Akim Presbytery Chairman, addressing the closing session, urged Christians to let the virtues of Christianity manifest in their lifestyles, adding that commitment to Church activities was not enough to attract more people into the religion.


He decried the situation whereby people portrayed themselves as good Christians in the public's eye but engaged in acts contrary to the principles of Christianity.


Rev. Anokye, said ungodly behaviours of 91pretenders' cast a slur on the Christianity and deterred people from converting into the religion.

Rev. Nicholas Sono, host pastor, lauded activities of the various prayer groups of the Church and urged them to work hard towards the growth of Christianity.


The four-day convention which had the theme, 93Show your Faith by your Deeds" brought together various groups from Juaso, Konongo, Odumase, Asiwa, Obogu, Bompata, Agogo and Domeabra districts all in the Ashanti Region.
