The Right Reverend Professor Osei Safo-Kantanka, Methodist Bishop of Kumasi, has urged Christians to keep their faith and refuse to be ruffled by life difficulties.

He said suffering is a fundamental component of Christianity and what Christians should do is to pray for courage to confront and overcome uncertainties, disappointments, economic hardships, illness and other human indignities.

“If we do not learn to manage crisis, it will be difficult for us to be victorious on our journey,” he said.

He was delivering a sermon at a Good Friday service at a fully-packed Adum Wesley Cathedral in Kumasi.

The Rt Rev Safo-Kantanka asked the congregation to learn from the pain and humiliation Jesus Christ endured in His ministration, to stand firm regardless of the situation they might find themselves.

He said they should adhere to true Bible teachings, to live their faith by epitomising all that is noble and dignified.

The Methodist Bishop, who chose as his theme for the sermon: “How do you handle a personal crisis.” counseled that Christians should live in absolute peace and reconciliation with everybody.

The Very Rev Christopher Nyarko Andam, Superintendent Minister of the Adum Wesley Cathedral, advised members of the church to work hard in their various capacities to grow the mission.
