Accra, May 17, GNA - The Evangelist Amos Jimmy Markin, District Pastor of Church of Pentecost, Accra New Town Assembly, has called on Christians not to base their worship of God on the nature of church buildings.

He said: 93You should not be attracted to a Church based on its magnificent building and edifice but rather look out for Churches that directs you to God, through salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ.

"Christians must abide by the Bible's principles and not the worldly gymnastics of some so called modern day Churches and their leaders "Christianity must influence your life, improve your relationship with God and mankind," Evangelist Markin said.

He was speaking at the dedication of the Adabraka Central and Redemption Assemblies of the Church of Pentecost new building in Accra. The 1,500 seating capacity building has a conference room, offices, a multi-purpose area and is estimated at over GH¢300,000.

Work on the project started in 1992.

The Adabraka District Pastor, Pastor John Kwesi Kudah explained that the ever increasing number of members necessitated the putting up of the building.

Mrs Esther Ofori-Yeboah, wife of La Area Head, unveiled the plaque and the dedication ceremony was performed by the La Area Head, Apostle Francis Ofori-Yeboah.

The Adabraka Assembly, which started with six members in 1962, is now made up of two assemblies, Adabraka Central and Redemption with a total membership of 1,200.
