Wa, Dec. 26, GNA - The Reverend Michael Awuah Frimpong, Wa District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, on Friday called on Christians not to rest until they receive favour from the Lord. He said for a Christian to receive favour from God then his or her level of commitment towards His word must be at the highest peak. "For one to achieve such favour from God you must not give yourself any rest both spiritually and physically until He recognizes you," he stressed. The Reverend Minister was preaching on the topic: "Today the Saviour is born - What is its Significance," at a Christmas service in Wa. The church was filled to full capacity as worshipers clad in white danced and sang praises to the Lord for giving them a Son who would be their saviour.

Reverend Frimpong said it was out of love for mankind that the Lord descended on earth in a form of a human being to save them from their iniquities, saying, that was the significance of Christmas. He urged Christians to prepare themselves spiritually as they enter a new year so that they could receive the glory of God. Reverend Frimpong noted that the lord is asking Christians to give Him a place in their hearts so that He could show them His love by showering them with all the glories of life. The theme for this year's Christmas celebrations for the church was "Let us Rise up and Build". 26 Dec. 09
