Reverend J. Komla Tulasi, Hohoe District Pastor of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church has called for religious tolerance across the globe as a sign of believers coming from the same stock.

Rev Tulasi was delivering a sermon to mark Good Friday at the Rev Seeger Memorial Chapel of the E. P. Church, Hohoe, marked by congregants clad in red and black apparel to denote Christ’s crucifixion.

He called for global condemnation of extremist groups that are wrecking havoc on innocent Christians.

Rev Tulasi entreated Christians to emulate the endurance and suffering of Jesus Christ to forgive one another.

"Christians should be ready to forgive each other and live in peace with one another, and must not allow themselves to be tempted to sin against God.

He said victory only comes after endurance, so Christians should be patient and endure suffering in order to outwit the plans of the devil.

In a related development, Pastor Benjamin Acquaye, Resident Pastor of the International Gospel Church, Hohoe, said Jesus Christ fought to give hope and to end the burden of Christians which the devil clandestinely placed on them.

He said Jesus death is a blessing to everyone so Christians should enjoy that liberty in good faith.
