Christians urged to assist the underprivileged

Hohoe, Sept. 10, GNA- Reverend Dr. Samuel S. Agidi, Principal of the Peki Seminary, on Sunday urged Christians to go beyond singing and dancing and extend a hand of goodwill to the underprivileged to demonstrate the ideals and principles of Godliness. He intimated them to share what they have with the deprived in the society, the sick in the hospitals and prison inmates. Rev Dr Agidi said these in a sermon to mark the end of a four-day 12th Zonal Rally celebration of the E. P. Church, Ghana, Good News Choirs Union at Hohoe.

He said "I exhort Christians to rededicate their lives to serve the Lord and share their affluence with the disadvantaged neighbours," adding that Christians should be humble, kind and avoid self-centredness.

Mr.John Peter Amewu, Hohoe District Chief Executive, called for State-Church relationship towards national development. He urged parents to invest in the education of their children to enable them to acquire skills and knowledge required for national development.

Mr. Prince Jacob Hayibor, Member of Parliament for Hohoe-North, asked Christians to forgive those who offended them And to wage war on immorality that had engulfed the society.
