He said Christ even though is the King of the universe, while on ear= th became obedient and humble to God His father. Rev. Fr Amedee gave the encouragement in a sermon he delivered at a service to commemorate the Feast of Christ the King at the Church. On Catholic Calendar, the Feast of Christ's Kingship, is celebrated annually on the last Ordinary Sunday preceding Advent (Christmas) to end the Church's Liturgical Year.
To Catholics, the Feast is meant to sum up all the scripture reading= s for the year and to bring them to the deeper and profound understanding o= f who Christ truly is. Rev. Fr. Amedee asked Catholics to use the occasion not only to surrender their entire lives to the service of Christ, but even in the mi= dst of trials, temptations and persecution to remain faithful to Him. "Let us acknowledge God through our prayer lives," he urged. He prayed for divine guidance for political leaders in the country. Later, Rev. Fr. Amedee led the congregation in a procession, amidst jubilation and fanfare in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
