Apostle Kadmiel E. H. Agbalenyoh, Founder and Leader of the Theocracy Church of Homedakrom in the Eastern Region, has called on religious bodies to establish schools.

He said this would go a long way in supporting the pupils in their catchment areas who had to walk long distances to attend school.

Apostle Agbalenyoh made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during an inspection of some school projects under construction by the church in the Akuapim South District.

He said the provision of the educational infrastructures would encourage good teaching and learning.

He advised parents in the rural areas to desist from engaging their children in early trading, and enroll them in schools to acquire knowledge.

Apostle Agbalenyoh said the only way to deal with poverty is to educate their children to become prominent and useful to the society.

He said from 1988- 1999 the church founded a primary school with four pupils, established a junior high school in 1996 and a senior high school in 2002 with a student population of 26.

The school teaches general and agriculture science, general arts, business and home economics, which he said, had been approved by the Ghana Education Service as well as the West African Examination Council.

Apostle Agbalenyoh appealed to the government and non-governmental organisations to support the school with infrastructures such as science laboratory, hostel facilities, staff common room, ICT laboratory and school bus.
