Creation Or Evolution?

This article is in response to questions raised by a section of the forumers during a chat with them on the forum about the existence of God, Creation and Evolution. I do not pretend to know all the answers to the issues raised but hope this article will help explain some of the major questions.

The Book of Genesis (the 1st book of the Bible ) states in the very first verse “ In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth “. The Law of Cause and Effect states “Every effect must have an adequate cause”. Genesis is remarkable as it states that GOD is the cause, and Creation is the effect. Throughout the Bible the message is the same only God has the power to create everything that we see around us. The very first verse of the Bible is in total harmony with the major Scientific Law of cause and effect.

Genesis 1:11 states “And God said :Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed ,each according to its kind on the earth”. From the beginning of creation, God established boundaries by which nature operates.

The Law of Biogenesis states “Life comes only from pre-existing life, and each kind produces after its own kind”. The Bible declares that God is the originator of all life, a statement that is in harmony with this major scientific law. On the sixth day GOD completed the creation” Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them”. Once God had finished His creation, that was it. There’s nothing new being created, even today with man’s creative intelligence. The First Law of Thermodynamics tells us that Energy is neither created nor destroyed. Ecclesiastes 1:9 says “What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there’s nothing new under the sun”. Again science bears witness to the accuracy of God’s word, the Bible.

Genesis Chapter 3, is the account of the fall of Man and the entrance of Sin and death into the world. From this point onwards in history, God’s Creation has known death. Isaiah 51:6 Says “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look at the earth beneath, for the heavens vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and they who dwell in it will die in like manner, but my salvation will be forever and my righteousness will never be dismayed.

The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that “Everything is winding down”. The physical universe around us is going from a state of order to disorder, from complex to simple. Everything is dying, everything is wearing out, natural resources diminishing. It’s man that brought this curse upon himself and upon all creation through disobedience. Science has again proven the Bible to be correct. In the theory of Evolution, In the beginning there was nothing and it exploded. This theory violates every one of these established scientific laws. Evolutionists say humans evolved from animals, but we know that man unlike animals is a creature with personality and personality requires three elements :

a)Emotion (both men and animals) b)Intellect(both men and animals) c) Will power( Man only).

In the scriptures animals do not have personality( Jude 10, 2Pet 2:12). If man is descended from animals where did man get his personality?. Imagine a friend presents an electric razor to you in the presence of other friends. Your friends sees the razor and they’ll want a similar gift for their friends so they asked the cost and the shop where your friend purchased the razor, but to the surprise of all he says “Oh, no. This razor cannot be bought. It was not created. It just happened. Not too far from here was a factory which contained all types of materials, plastics, metals, wood etc. An explosion occurred in that building. These materials were thrown up into the air. While in the air ,parts of these materials somehow came together, and after a while they developed into this appliance. Amidst the rubble and debris of the devastated building, the razor was found. It was not designed or manufactured, it resulted from the explosion “. Will your friends believe the story ?. No amount of scientific rhetoric and terminology can make me believe that the universe came from nothing or resulted from an explosion. God is the architect and May His name be glorified. Amen.
