Deeper Life Campus Fellowship (DLCF)
The Deeper Life Campus Fellowship (DLCF), a flagship event of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry will this year hold its national campus congress on the theme: “Experiencing the Power for Victorious Living” at its regional camp ground at Brofoyedru, Kumasi.
The national congress, dubbed ‘POWER 2015’, is a life-transforming meeting expected to attract several people from the various tertiary institutions, lecturers and national service personnel across the country, as well as, people living within the university communities.
Pastor Francis Fosu, the National Coordinator of DLCF, launching the event in Accra, on Wednesday said, the DLCF is an interdenominational fellowship evangelizing Christ to the intellectual community.
He said to fulfil this mandate, the church organises the congress annually to preach the truth of the Gospel to set humanity free and prepare them for heaven.
He said since the first national event in 1995, the congress has become an important event that brings members and intellectual community together for spiritual renewal, supernatural empowerment and all-round breakthrough ,with heaven as the ultimate goal.
Pastor Fosu said: “Today, the devil is using people for all diabolical and evil things under human rights. Our campuses are full of all sort of filthy things and abominable things that sometimes difficult to mention”.
“Our campuses are sick with sins as sin has become the norm. As people become more educated they become wicked. Occultism is increasing and common among highly educated people and they are at the forefront of corruption, and we must change that trend for the glory of God.
“Advanced countries who do not know Christ is forcing down all sorts of evil things on us, including same sex marriages, among other things,” he added.
He noted that the past congresses left in their trails transformation and total change and assured that this year’s will win the battle against moral decadency and sins of all faculties of the Ghanaian society.
Pastor Fosu said the congress will also prepare participants for heaven and urged the media to disseminate the message for the coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ is near.
“If our media houses will send messages that will promote the well-being of the people, then good things are ahead of the country,” he added.
Pastor John Boham, National Overseer of the church stressed the need for churches to train some of their members in special languages to interpret the Gospel to the deaf and dumb in the society.
He urged the youth to take up the challenges and meet the aspirations of those people, to give them the chance to also go to heaven.
“There is the need for some of us to decide that we would help our vulnerable and less privileged in our society,” he added.
Pastor David Obeng, National Administrator of the Church, said they believed that leaders with spiritual and moral uprightness will be raised through the congress.
He said tertiary institutions are breeding grounds for leaders hence the need to pay special attention to its spiritual needs.
