The President of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong- Manso has urged Ghanaians to demonstrate the spirit of peace, goodwill and reconciliation towards one another as God did through the Lord Jesus Christ.

He said, Christ’s coming brought reconciliation, peace with God and goodwill to humankind, therefore he prays that these virtues shall rest and abide with Ghanaians during the Christmas and beyond.

Demonstrate Love

Rev. Frimpong-Manso said this in a Press statement on behalf of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the GPCC wishing Ghanaians happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Touching on the essence of Christmas, he said, “Christmas essentially reminds us of the demonstration of God’s greatest gift of love to humankind through the birth of our Lord Jesus Christmas, the saviour of the World.”

Rev. Frimpong-Manso who is also the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, noted that, Ghanaians should allow the Love of God which manifest in forgiveness to permeate every aspect of “our national life and let us as individuals show an act of love to somebody this Christmas.”

“It is my plea that we give thought to God’s manifold blessings unto us as a nation and as individuals through this year, whilst we ponder on the significance of Christmas,” he pleaded.

Advice

Advising drivers, he noted that, drivers should obey road regulations and do things that would bring safety on the roads.

“I urge all roads users to be extra patient, tolerant and cautions to void needless traffic accidents, injuries and death associated with the season,” he urged.

He, therefore encouraged all Ghanaians to keep their hope alive as they focus on the Lord Jesus Christmas whose birth Ghanaians celebrate and keep Jesus Christ in the centre of all their activities so that He can give Ghanaians hope in the coming year and beyond.

“Let us remember that, Ghana is the only nation we have and if Ghana prosper, we shall also prosper,” the man of God said.

The President, wished Ghanaians Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
