The Chairman of the Apostles’ Continuation Church International, Apostle-General Clement Brakatu has called on believers not to denounce Christ as they celebrate Christmas and the New Year, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

According to him, Christmas is the reason for the celebrations and therefore underscored the need for them to allow peace to reflect in their daily activities as Christians since Jesus Christ the founder of Christianity is an epitome of peace.

“It is my prayer that your Christmas will have lots of Jesus in it. Christ should not be taken away out of this Christmas–His own birthday –since He is the reason for the season”, he said in a statement commemorating the Yuletide.

Read the full text of his message below;

When Christ was born, the angel announced His birth to the shepherds as “Good news’’ for all people. The basis of this proclamation was peace, joy and freedom.

These are possible only through Jesus, the Savior, as captured in Luke 2:11 (NIV): “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

It is my prayer that your Christmas will have lots of Jesus in it. Christ should not be taken away out of this Christmas–His own birthday –since He is the reason for the season.

Jesus is an epitome of peace, therefore the peace should reflect in our daily activities, as Christians.

In this festive season and beyond, Just like Jesus did, let us be caring, let us serve others, let us extend our love to our brethren and those who don’t share our faith, invariably. This might lead many to know Jesus better and be saved.

May the season be all about Jesus and the sharing of His love.

It is my prayer that you feel God’s presence in whatever you do, experience the wonders of His abiding love through each day of the coming year.

With profound gratitude and love from all of us at the Headquarters of The Apostles’ Continuation Church International, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a new year filled with good health, signs and wonders, good tidings, serendipity and the grace of God.

Shalom!

Signed,

Apostle-General Clement Brakatu.
