Ho, Jan. 29, GNA - Mrs Lydia Aku Adajawa, Principal Co-ordinator, Family Life and Gender Issues of Christian Council of Ghana (CCG) was on Sunday inducted into office as the first woman Presbyter Executive of the 150-year old Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana. Mrs Adajawa, 56, becomes the third person in the hierarchy of the Church after the Moderator and Synod Clerk. The three constitute the Synod Executive of the Church.

Right Reverend Dr Livingstone Buamah, Moderator of the Church exhorted Mrs Adajawa to derive strength from the love of God to be able to serve him faithfully in her new role, adding "God appoints and anoints for powerful deeds in his house".

He said 93As Jesus Christ overcame the world through love you should also confront the challenges involved in your new role with love."

Rt. Rev. Dr Fred Degbey, General Secretary of CCG said Mrs Adajawa would be missed by the Council, but took consolation that her new assignment was also in the service of God.

Most Reverend Aboagye Mensah, Presiding Bishop of Methodist Church of Ghanam, commended Mrs Adajawa for her invaluable work with women in the Methodist Church.
