Mr. Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, Brong Ahafo Regional Minister has cautioned Ghanaians to ignore those who are against the national health insurance scheme because they were doing a great disservice to the nation.

Addressing the close of a five-day Easter Convention of the Sunyani Area branch of the Church of Pentecost at Bechem, he stressed that the good health of the people was paramount to the government and thus the implementation of the scheme should not be politicized.

"Those kicking against the scheme are doing a great disservice to the nation and they must be ignored", the Regional Minister said and urged those who had not registered to do so without further delay. On sanitation, Mr. Baffour-Awuah appealed to churches to embrace the crusade against unsanitary conditions in communities to help halt the spread of communicable diseases.

He however, commended the churches to establish more tertiary institutions to enhance access to higher levels in education and more support in other sectors of the country's developmental process. "In this era of misinformation by some unscrupulous persons the church should team up with the government in the proper dissemination of government policies to the people at the grassroots", the Regional Minister said.

The Very Reverend Samuel Adu-Boateng, Superintendent Minister of the Sunyani Circuit of the Methodist Church has urged Christians to let Christ's victory over death guide them to overcome temptations and problems.

Preaching on Easter Sunday at the Wesley Cathedral in Sunyani, the Methodist priest urged Christians to beware of false prophets whose claims of redeeming them could only compound their problems. He urged them to shun wasting their resources on their physical build-ups to the neglect of their souls, as they vied for positions at the workplace and in communities.

"Beware of false prophets because they have nothing to offer you, only Christ by His death can give you life and salvation", Rev Adu-Boateng added.

The priest urged Christians to let their lifestyles depict to others that they are true followers of Christ and let His death and Resurrection change their lives, 93otherwise you will not have any message of hope to others".
