Evangelist Cecil Stewart to visits Ghana

Accra, Aug. 4, GNA - An international evangelist, Dr. Cecil Stewart is expected to address a seminar and crusade in Accra next month under the theme; "Deciding Your Destiny".

A statement issued in Accra by the Rev. Moses Kofi Amponsah, coordinator, said the Christian Communications Network (CCN) Ghana Chapter, in collaboration with the Pentecostal Council and other Christian denominations in Ghana would host the evangelist from September 1-6.


"His visit is meant to win souls for Christ and to also pray for the country in these year's general elections," the statement said. The statement said, Dr. Stewart would on September 2 engage 70 ministers of the gospel in a Breakfast Meeting at the Golden Tulip hotel and address a press conference on September 3 also at the same venue. On September 4-5, he will address a seminar at the Exhibition Assembly of God Church at Dansoman, Accra.

In the evenings of September 5-6, Dr Stewart would minister the Gospel of God at the Mamprobi Salvation Army Park. The statement said Dr. Stewart is an international conference speaker and has authored books including; "Living Where You Belong" and "What Do You Mean It's Impossible" and many others. Ordained by International Gospel Outreach in 1966, Dr. Stewart has received PhDs in Ministry, Human Letters and Religious Philosophy. He was honoured with the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1998 by Queen Elizabeth II.


With his wife, Evelyn, Dr. Stewart developed a group of private nursing homes, which grew to the largest privately owned Nursing Home Group in the UK.
