Accra, April 2, GNA - Dr Lawrence Tetteh, a UK-based Ghanaian Evangelist, on Friday asked Ghanaians to view the act of nation building as a collective responsibility and strive to soar above parochial interests. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at a four-day "Kwahu for Christ" Crusade to mark Easter, he noted that it is the responsibility of Christian leaders, to promote hard work and high moral standards in order to harness the rich human resource of the country to facilitate development. The crusade, which was organised by Dr Tetteh in collaboration with the Local Council of Churches, attracted a huge number of people from communities like Kwahu, Nkawkaw and Abetifi in the Eastern Region. He asked Christians not to forget the significance of Easter, which he said was the master plan of God to unite mankind with Him.

The Evangelist said: "As we (Ghanaians) celebrate Easter; the death of Christ, we should use the occasion to thank God and to count our blessings by acknowledging how far He has brought us as a nation. "The celebration of Easter must reflect the death and resurrection power of Our Lord Jesus Christ, which brought about restoration and reconciliation."

Dr Tetteh urged Ghanaians to be mindful of the fact that Ghana needs a united front to be able to make any meaningful progress. "I therefore ask our spiritual leaders, the youth, traditional elders among others, to use Easter as an occasion to co-habit in unity. 2 April 10
