Most Reverend Prof. Emmanuel Asante, Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church of Ghana, has announced that as Christians in Ghana await the resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter season, they should bear in mind that the omnipotent God has what it takes to fix every challenges facing the country.

Speaking on Okay FM, the Most Reverend Prof. Emmanuel Asante noted that such is the essence of Easter. He disclosed that the occasion was all about the salvation God handed to mankind through His only son Jesus Christ.

“As we all know, we call the day Christ died, the Good Friday. It is called Good Friday because Christians believe that it is the very day He carried all our sins to the cross in order to save us…those of us who were lost have now seen the light through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” he said.

The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church established that no matter how the worse our economy has become, the broken homes recorded and marital problems unresolved, we should have hope and believe the bright light at the end of the tunnel, would restore things as we prepare to witness the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In order to see this come to pass, Rev. Asante warned politicians, public servants and all individuals to recognize that; “all we need to do as a people is to recognize that when Jesus Christ died on the cross for us, he broke every wall. We shouldn’t allow hatred, kingship, political affiliations and chieftaincy divide us".
