Bishop Dr Yaw Owusu Ansah, Regional Overseer of Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministries International (REPLIB), Accra West has advised members to attach importance to the worship of God because such an act pleases Him.

He said one major canker the Body of Christ faced was the little importance attached to Christian worship, which reduced the presence of God within the church.

The Bishop made these remarks on Tuesday during the church’s Carols Night service held in Accra.

He quoted from the scriptures saying, “Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.’”

The Regional Overseer noted that even though Shepherding was a disregarded occupation in Bible times, it was the high regard the shepherds attached to the birth of Christ that allowed them to have an encounter with the heavenly host of angels.

“One of the dangerous aspects of serving God is that those at the helm of affairs in church can easily miss the importance of the Kingdom.

The shepherds, though they were a disregarded group in Israel, were chosen to receive the message about Jesus’ birth. It doesn’t matter how devalued you have become in society, God can still use you.”

He urged members to utilise every opportunity they got to serve in the House of God knowing that others in time past performed such duties better than them.

“If even angels who know no sin could come down to earth in multitudes to give praises to God, how much more we humans who are constantly living in sin? We need to give our all to the worship of our King and Savior Jesus Christ.”
