ICGC holds Life Walk in Accra

Accra, March 17, GNA-The youth have been called upon to take active interest in physical education and sports so that they will remain healthy at all times. The Reverend Dr Mensah Otabil, General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church, made the call at the end of this year's 'Life Walk ' Held in Accra on Saturday. The walk, led by Dr Otabil, started from the church premises at Abossey Okai, through to the Danquah Circle to the Independence Square and back to the church premises. Dr Otabil said sports played a very important role in the development of the human mind and body and that it must not be shunned. He therefore encouraged the youth, the aged to marry education, with sports so that they would achieve their avowed aims. More than 7,000 people took part in the walk. Nestle Ghana Limited and Capital 02 Company were among a number of companies that mounted exhibition on health at the premises of the church.
